Hennessey Digital, a leading search engine optimization (SEO) and digital marketing agency in North America, is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated Graphic Designer to join its team. The ideal candidate for this role is a consummate team player who is an excellent visual storyteller, is self-driven, has a problem-solving mindset, and has at least two (2) years of digital marketing agency experience.
We are a fully remote and highly collaborative team of digital marketing thought leaders located all over the country. We provide white-glove service to our clients, and we’re looking for a thoughtful team member who can ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on strategy.

The desired candidate will have expert knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator, be resourceful in finding key assets, and have considerable understanding of designing graphic layouts for the web.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain all creative assets for the Creative Department for assigned jobs, including logos, client photography, home pages, interior pages, landing pages, display ads, Facebook ads, and other marketing as required.
- Effective team work skills, positivity, and consideration
- Responsible for designing and developing mock-ups in Photoshop based on SEO and Dev requests
- Responsible for modifying and editing bitmap and vector graphics for web use based on SEO and Dev requests.
- Work with the development team to ensure your execution of the client’s vision is what’s delivered.
- Work with the Creative team to create engaging and brand appropriate design improvements to client sites including web page layout, call-to-action buttons, logos, photo treatments, page forms, drop-down menus etc.
- Utilize creativity and independent judgment to produce compelling design that connects with the end-user in immediate, visceral ways.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, and feel comfortable demonstrating the same with all levels within the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Meticulous nature when it comes to attention to detail, with strong office and technical application skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- 3+ years design experience in an agency or creative department
- Must have existing portfolio link
- Solid understanding of corporate graphics and tone, and have a strong sense of page layout and information hierarchy
- Excellent organizational and communication skills—as well as be familiar with project management in a creative agency atmosphere
- Possess expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
- Have a deep understanding of traditional and contemporary design standards (typography, UX/UI, color theory, and brand communication)
- Background in print is a plus
- Demonstrable graphic design and type layout skills with a strong portfolio, understanding of conversion graphics is a plus
- Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
- Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS is preferred.
- Comfortable working on all stages of a project (vision, planning, execution)
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Inspector, Font Book
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Design or other Creative Field preferred, but we are open to non-degree candidates that demonstrate a high level of design ability and a strong portfolio.
Compensation
The salary range for this position begins at $50,000.
