TOP WORK STRENGTHS: 'Do What's Right, Always' and 'Make It Fun; Don't Be a Jerk.' I see myself as someone who always wants to help those in need, using my skills and tools whenever possible. This mindset keeps me open-minded and aware that there's more to the world than meets the eye. It also helps me stay humble and eager to learn new things every day

MY FAVORITE THINGS: Dance, Caribbean music (salsa, bachata, merengue), cooking and photography

Gabriel Coronado is a Software Engineer I at Hennessey Digital. He is a Venezuelan living in Mexico, completing his studies in Informatic Engineering remotely.

Over the years, Gabriel has had diverse experiences. He started as the neighborhood tech guy, then became a photographer, a dancer, and eventually led a team at a company where he was the youngest member at 27. These varied roles have taught him a lot and helped him grow as a person.

His goal is to become a skilled professional. Initially, Gabriel wasn’t fond of coding, but the economic crisis in Venezuela and the pandemic pushed him to pursue it. Leaving his country and making tough choices for his family wasn’t easy, but it was necessary.

Gabriel loves creating memorable moments and always strives to help others and make them laugh. He has been a self-learner all his life, whether it was learning English from songs or mastering photography and dance on his own. He believes in continuous improvement and staying open to change and criticism.

On my bucket list:

Go to Europe, and maybe propose to my grilfriend there

My hero is:

My hero is my Yorkie dog, Chloe. She has defied the odds multiple times. In 2019, she was diagnosed with arthritis, and the vet believed she wouldn't make it, but Chloe proved him wrong. Then, in 2020, during fireworks on New Year's Eve in Venezuela, she jumped off her bed and, with her condition, broke her spine. Once again, vets said she would never walk again, but she proved them wrong once more. What's fascinating is that Chloe never stopped smiling or being playful. She remains the same spirited puppy who was born under my bed and continues to inspire me. No matter how tough things get, she always faces them with an amazing attitude and a lovely smile. Leaving her behind was one of the hardest things for me, hoping that someday we will be together again.

Favorite food of all time:

Burgers

If I could sing or play an instrument like anyone, it would be ...:

Drums, because I'm electric and I need to drive that energy somewhere
