Hennessey Digital, a leading search engine optimization (SEO) and digital marketing agency in North America, is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated Digital PR Content Writer to join its team. The ideal candidate for this role is an excellent storyteller with an eye for detail, capable of transforming PR studies into engaging narratives for media outreach. This candidate should have at least two (2) years experience writing Digital PR content.
We are a fully remote and highly collaborative team of digital marketing thought leaders located all over the country. We provide white-glove service to our clients, and we’re looking for a thoughtful team member who can ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on strategy.

The desired candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills—as well as be familiar with high-volume production in a creative agency atmosphere.
The Digital PR Content Writer writes press releases, reactive commentary, and resource pages for Digital PR campaigns. The content will be crafted to align with the clients tone of voice, to target journalists and media outlets, to help increase brand visibility and media coverage. This role involves collaborating with Digital PR Analysts, who brief the writer on campaign strategies and data, as well as Outreach Specialists, who distribute the content to journalists.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Draft new written content for Digital PR campaigns: write press releases, reactive commentary, resource pages, and other collateral for the clients’ digital PR efforts.
- Keep up with a high-volume production environment, averaging 3-4k words of new or optimized content a day.
- Collaborate with Digital PR Analysts to understand campaign goals, study findings, and key messages to incorporate into the content
- Partner with Outreach Specialists to ensure content aligns with outreach strategies and is prepared for distribution to journalists
- Write up studies, resource pages, and whitepapers for digital pr campaigns, transforming raw data into media-friendly narratives
- Edit and optimize existing content to support ongoing PR efforts
- Copyedit work of peer writers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Effective grammar and communication skills
- Excellent research skills
- Familiarly with preferred
- 2+ years marketing preferred
- 2+ years SEO Experience preferred
- 2+ years copyediting preferred
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification
- Bachelor’s Degree, English or Marketing emphasis preferred.
